To provide an optimal amount of breathability, the Gel-Pulse 14 shoes have a re-engineered jacquard mesh upper, which will improve the airflow to your feet. It will provide a perfect climate for your feet, even when under intense workout pressure. The forgiving fit and soft fabric construction create the ultimate comfortable environment for your feet, allowing toes to flex naturally and feeling pleasant throughout wear. A traditional lacing system anchors the shoe to the foot securely and gives you the perfect custom fit that will give you better control and stability. At least 20% of the shoe’s main upper material is made with recycled content to reduce waste and carbon emissions.
Amplifoam Midsole
The Midsole of the Gel-Pulse 14 contains ASICS’ groundbreaking Amplifoam technology. Designed to work with all 33 joints in the foot, this technology provides soft cushioning that helps keep you feeling healthy and happy. The Amplifoam unit is engineered to maintain durability at softer densities, providing better flexibility, comfort and platform adaptability – ideal for natural running. Lightweight and resilient, Amplifoam spares your joints as you footstrike on unforgiving surfaces. Further embedded within this platform is the Rearfoot GEL Cushioning System. This technology works to reduce shock during the impact phase, sparing your joints as you sprint down onto hard, uneven terrain and allowing for a peaceful transition to mid-stance. Guidance line technology within the midsole increases gait efficiency, so you experience less fatigue and less energy will be wasted. The vertical flex groove decouples the tooling along the line of progression to provide a smooth transition through the gait cycle. Completing the midsole is an Ortholite sockliner that increases underfoot comfort and provides effective moisture management.
